Follow these simple steps to check your antivirus program
- Open Notepad (Start>Run>Notepad hit enter)

Now Click on save as and save it by name as ” virus.com” on the desktop.
Now scan with your antivirus program. If your program detects as a virus then it is good antivirus application, and your antivirus is working fine. I tested it with Avast, Microsoft Security essential and Eset NOD32.
